I have painted more than one Bengal cat because they are beautiful, exotic, and spirited, perhaps none more so than this amazing beauty. This gorgeous cat was my first commissioned pet portrait.
After going through surgery and chemotherapy in the spring and summer of 2016, we decided to throw a party in celebration of a good prognosis, and in thanks for all of the wonderful support of my family and friends.
And throw a party we did. It was huge, probably more than 200 people came through. For many folks, it was their first time seeing our home, and I am not shy about showing off my studio. On the easel almost, complete, was the large version of Squeaker’s portrait and it caught the eye of a fellow bengal-parent; he wanted a portrait of his cat commissioned as a Christmas gift for his wife.
